Nestle recalls baby formula in Cyprus

Date:

Nestle has initiated a voluntary recall of infant formula packages from the Cypriot market due to potential presence of cereulide, produced by the microorganism Bacillus cereus.

The Health Services of the Ministry of Health inform that the affected products are: S-26 GOLD 1 400g (batch 51550346AE, expiry 30/6/2027), NAN EXPERTpro SENSITIVE PLUS 400g (batch 51250742C1, expiry 30/11/2026), and NAN EXPERTpro Lactose Free 400g (batch 51520346AD, expiry 30/6/2027).

Official notifications and consumer advice

Health Services received notifications from official Cypriot representatives and the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).

Consumers possessing these products should not use them for infant feeding and return them to purchase points.

Ongoing investigation and online purchases

Health Services continue investigating the incident. If additional products from non-official sources (parallel trade) are found in Cyprus, a supplementary announcement will follow.

Noting potential online purchases from non-Cypriot stores or foreign websites, Health Services urge buyers to check received products against the recall list.
