Completion of application review for the housing subsidy scheme for young couples

The Famagusta District Self-Government Organisation (EOA Ammochostou) finished examining all submitted applications under the Housing Subsidy Scheme for Young Couples and Individuals.

President Yiannis Karousos announced the review’s completion and reminded eligible young people they have until Sunday to apply.

EOA Ammochostou issued the necessary town planning permissions and building permits.

Karousos said every young couple and individual in Famagusta district who expressed interest now has the right to submit an application by the deadline of 30 November 2025.

He praised the Licensing Department Director and staff for their intense efforts over the last few days to process all requests and ensure no young couple misses out on the housing subsidy young couples Cyprus opportunity.

“As Famagusta District Self-Government Organisation, we actively support young people in our district by facilitating access to housing and creating real opportunities for their future”, Karousos concluded.

The scheme forms part of the government’s €77 million five-year housing policy to help young couples and individuals up to 41 years old buy or build homes up to 150 m². Applications opened on 15 January 2025 via www.housing.moi.gov.cy.
