The Road Transport Department announced today that seven additional Vauxhall vehicles in Cyprus are affected by the global Takata airbag recall.

The manufacturer has identified defective driver-side Takata airbags that can explode and shoot metal fragments when deployed.

Immediate action required

Vauxhall has instructed owners to stop driving the vehicles immediately.

The Road Transport Department has already revoked the roadworthiness certificates of the affected vehicles.
