Police are investigating a violent incident in Nicosia after Indians attack with bats and knives in Strovolos, targeting compatriots inside their home.
According to police, the attackers are said to have damaged various household items and equipment, as well as motorcycles belonging to the tenants and a car parked in the yard.
One of the residents was reportedly assaulted during the attack and was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital. He sustained injuries to his back, head and arms, believed to have been caused by a sharp object.
Police also reported that a sum of money belonging to two of the tenants appears to have been stolen from the property.
The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is continuing its inquiries into the case.
