Larnaca drug arrest: 22-year-old found with cash and drugs

A Larnaca drug arrest has led to the detention of a 22-year-old man after police discovered drugs, ammunition and cash during a coordinated search operation.

The raid was carried out yesterday afternoon by the Cyprus Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) in a village in the Larnaca district, under a court warrant.

During the search, officers found:

  • 20 nylon bags containing cannabis, weighing a total of 1,618 grams
  • A package with 27 grams of cocaine
  • A precision scale
  • A firearm magazine with 30 blank cartridges
  • Two cylindrical objects believed to be detonators

The 22-year-old, who was present at the time and reportedly responsible for the property, was arrested in connection with the Larnaca drug arrest and placed in custody.

Following his written consent, a further search was carried out at his own home in the same village, where police seized €10,020 in cash for examination.
