A Nicosia school fire broke out around 2:10 a.m. on Monday, causing extensive damage to a classroom at Agios Vasileios Gymnasium.
Firefighters from the Cyprus Fire Service responded swiftly and managed to extinguish the flames. Despite their prompt action, the fire caused significant damage to the interior of the room. The value of the damages has not yet been determined.
Investigations into the cause of the blaze are ongoing and will continue throughout the day, led by the Police and the Fire Service.
