Dust lingers over Cyprus as temperatures set to drop

Today, the weather will initially be mostly cloudy with medium and high-level clouds, and isolated light showers are expected. However, it will gradually become mainly clear.

Winds will be mainly north-easterly to south-easterly, light to moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort.

Temperatures will rise to 25°C inland, around 23°C on the coast, and 16°C in the higher mountainous areas.

Dust will remain suspended in the atmosphere until the evening, with concentrations expected to be temporarily increased.

Winds will be mainly north-easterly to south-easterly, light to moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to 25°C inland, around 23°C along the coast, and 16°C in the higher mountainous regions.

Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, although at times increased high clouds will be observed. Winds will be north-westerly, light, at 3 Beaufort, and up to moderate, 4 Beaufort, in the west. The sea will be calm to slightly rough, and slightly rough in the west. Temperatures will fall to 12°C inland, around 15°C on the coast, and 8°C in the higher mountains.

On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, occasionally increased cloud cover may bring isolated showers.

Temperatures will drop noticeably by Thursday, with no significant change expected on Friday, remaining below the average climatic values.
