Date:

On 10 March 1925, one of Greece’s most historic and successful football clubs, Olympiacos Club of Fans of Piraeus (Olympiacos CFP), was officially founded. The club emerged from the merger of two Piraeus-based sports organisations—the Piraikos Football Club and the Fans’ Club of Piraeus—bringing together passionate athletes and supporters to establish what would become a dominant force in Greek and European football.

The club’s foundation marked the beginning of a new era for Piraeus, a city with a deep-rooted sporting tradition. Olympiacos quickly rose to prominence, embodying the values of excellence, competitiveness, and passion for football. Over the decades, the club has amassed numerous domestic and international titles, solidifying its reputation as one of the most successful football clubs in Greece.

Beyond football, Olympiacos CFP has expanded into various sports, making a significant impact in disciplines such as basketball, volleyball, and water polo. The club’s red and white colours and its legendary emblem featuring a laurel-crowned youth symbolise the Olympic ideals of strength, determination, and victory.
