A total of 43 arrests and 37 deportations were carried out over the past three days as part of coordinated operations targeting irregular migration, illegal stay of foreign nationals and wider criminal activity, the Ministry of Justice and Public Order said on Monday.
The operations were conducted jointly by the Cyprus Police, the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, and the Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection.
Large-scale operations across Cyprus
According to the announcement, 27 people were arrested in simultaneous operations carried out in Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos by the Aliens and Immigration Unit.

Over the weekend (9–10 May), authorities also recorded 16 arrests, 21 deportations and 11 voluntary departures.
Airport checks and forged documents
Authorities also detected two cases involving the use of forged travel documents at Larnaca and Paphos airports, highlighting continued border control enforcement efforts.
Further removal procedures are planned, including three deportations and 30 voluntary returns scheduled for 12 May, 16 of which involve Syrian nationals.
On 13 May, the Republic of Cyprus will participate in a joint return flight operation to Pakistan and Georgia, during which 10 individuals will be deported, including eight Georgian nationals and two Pakistani nationals.
Ongoing enforcement policy
The Ministry stressed that coordinated operations and targeted checks will continue on a daily basis.
