4.3 magnitude earthquake felt in three cities across Cyprus

The Geological Survey Department has issued a statement regarding the offshore earthquake near Cyprus.

According to the announcement, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale.

The Geological Survey Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that on Monday, 23 June 2025, at 15:37 local time, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded by the Department’s seismological network.

The epicentre was located offshore, 57 kilometres south of Paralimni, at a focal depth of 20 kilometres. The earthquake was felt in the districts of Famagusta, Larnaca, and Nicosia, and was also perceptible in the districts of Limassol and Paphos.
