24-year-old in Paphos arrested with drugs and illegal substances

As part of ongoing investigations, police stopped a car driven by a 24-year-old in a Paphos parking area for inspection.

During the check, authorities found around 2 grams of cannabis, 2 grams of cocaine, and 1 gram of methamphetamine in his possession. The man was arrested for an immediate offence.

Extensive drugs seized at apartment

Following the initial arrest, the Anti-Narcotics Unit (YKAN) searched the suspect’s apartment in Paphos. Officers discovered carefully hidden drugs at various locations, including:

  • 804 Captagon tablets
  • 874 grams of methamphetamine (crystal)
  • 11 ecstasy tablets
  • 193 grams of cocaine
  • 2 grams of amphetamine
  • 144 grams of cannabis
  • 48 grams of cannabis resin
  • €3,515 in cash

Authorities also noted that the man drove without a license or roadworthiness certificate. A preliminary drug test on the spot returned positive.

Investigations continue

The 24-year-old remains in custody while YKAN, in cooperation with the Paphos Traffic Police, continues the investigation.
