Video footage circulating on social media shows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arriving at Larnaca Airport on Tuesday, marking the start of his official visit to Cyprus.

According to a post by NOELREPORTS, President Zelensky landed in Cyprus for a series of high-level meetings, taking place in the context of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Meetings with Cypriot and EU leadership

During his Cyprus visit, Ukrainian President Zelensky is scheduled to hold talks with Nikos Christodoulides, focusing on bilateral relations and developments related to the European Union.

He will also meet with Georgios of Cyprus, the Archbishop of Cyprus, as part of his official engagements on the island.

EU Presidency events and bilateral talks

President Zelensky is expected to participate in the official ceremony marking the start of Cyprus’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, alongside European leaders and senior officials.

His programme also includes bilateral meetings with Charles Michel and Ursula von der Leyen, underlining the broader European dimension of the visit.

The visit comes at a key moment for both Cyprus’s EU role and Ukraine’s ongoing engagement with European institutions.
