Woman found dead in Germasogeia – Police investigate

Date:

Authorities in Limassol were placed on high alert after the body of a 35-year-old woman was discovered beneath an apartment building in Germasogeia on Monday morning. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, with all possibilities remaining open.

The discovery was reported around 9:30 AM by a resident, who alerted the police about an injured person in the building’s parking area. Deputy Head of Limassol CID, Costas Michael, stated that officers, including the Limassol Police Chief, members of the CID, and personnel from the Germasogeia Police Station, arrived promptly at the scene. A forensic pathologist and members of the Crime Scene Investigation Unit also attended.

Initial examinations confirmed that the woman, identified as a 35-year-old foreign national, was deceased. Preliminary findings indicate that “the death resulted from a fall from a height,” Michael noted.

It was further revealed that the woman was not a resident of the apartment building but was staying with friends who lived there. Authorities have not ruled out any possibilities, and investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances leading to her tragic death.

The scene was immediately cordoned off by police as examinations continued to gather evidence and establish the sequence of events.

This case remains under active investigation.
