Police in Nicosia are investigating a crime case involving allegations of abduction, rape and attempted murder, with a suspect already detained by court order.
Allegations under investigation
According to information, a woman reported to authorities that she was abducted, raped and attacked by a man in Nicosia. The case is being treated as a serious criminal investigation by the police.
Medical examinations confirmed that the woman sustained abrasions on various parts of her body, supporting claims of physical assault.
Suspect remanded in custody
The male suspect was arrested and brought before a court, which ordered his detention for eight days as investigations continue. Authorities are gathering evidence and taking statements as part of the ongoing inquiry.
Police have not released further details at this stage.
