Water samples collected following sewage complaint in Timi

Local authorities are investigating reports of sewage at Timi beach following a complaint from bathers who said they observed wastewater in the sea.

According to the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), the incident prompted an on-site inspection by Timi Deputy Mayor Giorgos Polykarpou, who collected samples to assess conditions in the area and investigate the reported pollution.

Concerns over water quality

According to the reports submitted to the local authority, sewage was allegedly seen in the sea, raising concerns among bathers about potential public health risks and the safe use of the beach.

The collected samples will be examined as part of the investigation to determine the nature and source of the reported contamination.

No official findings have yet been announced.
