Update – Polish man arrested in Cyprus over kidnapping case

Date:

A 36-year-old Polish man wanted for a kidnapping case in his home country has been arrested at Paphos Airport, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.

The man appeared before Paphos District Court today, a day after his arrest upon arrival in Cyprus. Polish authorities had issued a European arrest warrant against him to serve a one-year prison sentence, imposed in October 2020, for offences related to kidnapping and unlawful detention.
