UNFICYP mandate vote postponed to January 30

According to the latest update from the United Nations Secretariat, the UN Security Council vote on renewing the mandate of the UN peacekeeping force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) has been rescheduled for Friday, 30 January 2025.

Original schedule

The vote was initially set for Thursday, 29 January at 3:00 p.m. New York time. The Secretariat did not provide a reason for the postponement.
