Turkish Defence Ministry concerned over Ukraine-Russia conflict

Date:

Sources from Turkey’s Ministry of Defence have expressed concern over developments in the Ukraine-Russia conflict, according to reports in Turkish media.

The concerns relate to Ukraine’s use of US-made ATACMS missiles against Russia and Moscow’s approval of its new nuclear doctrine.

“The use of US-origin ATACMS missiles by Ukraine, the related statements from Russia, and the approval of its new nuclear doctrine are troubling for the trajectory of the war. In light of these developments, we hope that the current conflict does not escalate into new dimensions in the coming period,” said Ministry sources, as reported by Turkish media.
