US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he had instructed the military to be prepared to launch strikes against Iran if the Iranian government carries out or attempts to carry out an assassination against the US president.
“1,000 missiles are locked and loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands more to follow immediately, if the Iranian government acts on its threat, made in many parts of the world, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America in this case, ME!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
“Orders have already been given, and the US military is ready, willing and able, for a period of one year, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran,” he added.
