The new FoodConnect platform: From waste to the table

Date:

If you are a restaurant, hotel, supermarket, bakery, or food-donating organization interested in reducing food waste, then FoodConnect is for you.

FoodConnect officially launches as the first food donation app in Cyprus.

Every day, restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, and other food businesses are forced to discard perfectly good food that cannot be sold the next day. This happens not because the food is no longer safe to eat, but due to time constraints, aesthetic standards, internal policies, or short shelf life.

FoodConnect aims to change this reality.

We invite you to a presentation on Thursday, March 26, from 17:30 to 19:00 at the St. Raphael Hotel in Limassol. We will discuss how we can develop this initiative together, using the FoodConnect app in practice, exploring its features, and discovering ways your business or organization can become part of this effort. The event is organized by DIAS Media Group and Friends of the Earth Cyprus.

Participation requires registration via this form: https://forms.gle/JLRvLDnyWMsLf61m8

The FoodConnect platform is a LIFE project that connects food donors with organizations and individuals in need.

The project is co-funded by the European LIFE Program (Project Number: 101148772).
FOOD CONNECT is coordinated by DIAS Media Group, in collaboration with NGOs Friends of the Earth Malta, Friends of the Earth Cyprus, the company Base Element in Cyprus, the NGO ZERO in Portugal, and the company INOVA+ in Portugal.
