The Holy Light is set to arrive in Cyprus this afternoon on a special flight operated by Aegean Airlines.
The flight will land at the old airport of Larnaca and will be accompanied by representatives of the Exarchate of the Holy Sepulchre in Cyprus.
Following its arrival, the Holy Light will be distributed to churches across Cyprus, carrying the message of the Resurrection ahead of Easter celebrations.
The transfer of the Holy Light had been uncertain due to the ongoing instability in the Middle East.
However, as previously stated by Constantinos Kombos, the transport was successfully arranged with the assistance of the Greek government.
