A low-pressure system named ADEL, currently centered over the Tyrrhenian Sea, moves toward the northern Aegean on Saturday and then heads northeast. It is expected to affect Cyprus mainly from Saturday afternoon.
Early today, isolated showers may develop over the northern and eastern coasts. Local fog and low cloud—mainly inland—will lift soon. By midday, the weather becomes partly cloudy, with isolated showers expected over the east and northwest, and possibly an isolated storm.
Temperatures rise to around 23°C inland, on the western and northern coasts, 24°C on the southern and eastern coasts, and 11°C in the highest mountains.

By midday, the weather turns partly cloudy with isolated showers over the east and northwest, and possibly an isolated storm. Winds start variable and light at 3 Beaufort and soon shift to southwest–northwest, while in the eastern half they shift to northeast–southeast at 3–4 Beaufort. Seas remain calm to slightly rough. Temperatures reach 23°C inland, west and north coasts, 24°C south and east coasts, and 11°C in the highest mountains.
Tonight, increased cloud locally may bring isolated showers, mainly in eastern and northern coastal areas. Later and toward dawn, light or patchy fog may form inland and in eastern areas. Winds blow mainly northwest–northeast and southeast on the northern coast, light at 3 Beaufort. Seas stay calm to slightly rough. Temperatures drop to 11°C inland, 13°C on the coasts, and 5°C in the highest mountains.
On Thursday, locally increased cloud at times may bring isolated showers, with an isolated storm possible over the mountains, east, and northwest. On Friday, increased mid- and high-level cloud appears at intervals, and thin dust may linger in the atmosphere.
On Saturday, local rain and isolated storms are expected, mainly from the afternoon onward.
Temperatures gradually rise through Saturday, staying slightly above the seasonal average.
