Syrian asylum seekers residing in the Republic of Cyprus have begun contacting the Asylum Service of the Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection, requesting to withdraw their asylum applications.

The same reports indicate that the government intends to facilitate the voluntary return of Syrians who wish to go back to their home country.
