Six-year-old boy out of danger after nine-metre fall in Nicosia

A six-year-old boy is out of danger after falling from a height of nine metres from an apartment building in Pallouriotissa, Nicosia.

According to RIK, the six-year-old boy woke up and began searching for his mother, who at the time was working at a nearby 24-hour restaurant.

The child opened the bathroom window and fell first into the lightwell and then to the ground. He shouted for help and was noticed by neighbours, who immediately called an ambulance.

Police confirmed that the six-year-old boy is out of danger but remains in serious condition.

In her statement to authorities, the boy’s mother- who is legally residing in Cyprus- explained that she is a single parent and has no one to look after him while she works.
