Russian Embassy announcement regarding the death of employees in Cyprus

The Russian Embassy in Cyprus announced the death of its employee A.V. Panov last Thursday through a post on social media.

According to the post, A.V. Panov, an employee of the Russian Embassy, passed away on 8 January 2026. It is described as a “deeply personal tragedy” for the family and friends of the deceased, while it is noted that all necessary assistance and support have been provided to his relatives.

The Russian Embassy in Cyprus also stated that, in cooperation with the competent Cypriot authorities, procedures are under way for the swift repatriation of his body to Russia.
