Clarification on leaked video context
Pharmaceutical company Remedica issued a clarifying statement following yesterday’s video posted on platform X.
The footage allegedly records conversations between former Energy Minister George Lakotrypis, President’s Office Director Charalambos Charalambous, and Cyfield Group Director George Chryschoos with a person presented as a Dutch investor.
LetterOne sanctions status confirmed
Remedica emphasizes that LetterOne faces no sanctions regime. The company remains fully separated from shareholders subject to sanctions.
These specific shareholders exert no influence over LetterOne, derive no benefits from it, and LetterOne does not represent them.
Explicit denial of political contributions
Remedica and LetterOne clarify they made no political donations benefiting President Christodoulides.
However, LetterOne responded to the Republic of Cyprus’s public appeal for 2025 wildfire victims’ support. In July 2025, LetterOne donated €75,000 to the official Fire Support Account, fully documented. This donation also aided Remedica staff members affected by the fires.
