The Municipality of Kourion decided on a precautionary evacuation of an area in Ypsonas late on Wednesday night.
In an announcement posted on social media, the Municipality stated that “due to the development of the wildfire in the wider area, and for precautionary safety reasons, residents of the Vounaros area in Ypsonas are urged to evacuate the area immediately and head in a safe direction.”
“The safety of everyone is paramount. We kindly ask for your cooperation,” the announcement concludes.
