Police investigations continue into the attempted murder case in the Kornos area.
Recent reports indicate that an arrest warrant has been issued for a 24-year-old man from Syria.
According to the ongoing investigation, at approximately 2 p.m., a 30-year-old man arranged a meeting in the Larnaca district (Kornos village area) with unidentified individuals to discuss the sale of a car. The meeting had been organised via telephone communication.
Upon arriving at the agreed location, the victim was approached by a vehicle from which four unknown men emerged, two of whom were reportedly armed with firearms (handguns).
The 30-year-old attempted to flee the scene by starting his car, colliding with the suspects’ vehicle in the process. As he tried to escape, he was shot multiple times and injured.
Despite his serious injuries, the victim managed to drive himself to a private hospital in Limassol. According to his doctors, he sustained injuries to his arm and right shoulder blade, and his condition is described as critical.
