Two pedestrians were injured in a road collision in Paralimni early on Sunday, while the driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene.
The incident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. on Vrysoudion Street, as the vehicle was travelling towards the Agia Triada roundabout.
Under circumstances that are being investigated, the vehicle struck two pedestrians, a 28-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man. The driver left the scene immediately after the collision.
An ambulance transported both injured pedestrians to Famagusta General Hospital.
The 28-year-old woman received first aid and was subsequently discharged, while the 29-year-old man remains in critical condition.
Famagusta Traffic Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are working to identify and locate the driver.
