Trade unions representing employees of the State Health Services Organisation (Okypy) have suspended a planned 48-hour strike scheduled for November 10 and 11, following receipt of the organisation’s written proposal to renew their collective agreement.
In a joint announcement, the unions PASYDY, SEK, PEO, DEOK, PASYKI and PASYNO said they met on Friday after receiving written confirmation that Okypy’s Board of Directors had approved the draft agreement submitted to them on November 4, 2026.
Unions review proposed agreement
After examining the draft agreement covering 2026 and 2027, the unions decided to suspend the planned industrial action.
The strike had been announced amid negotiations over the renewal of the collective agreement between the unions and Okypy.
Proposed salary increases
The proposal presented by Okypy on Wednesday, following a meeting with the unions, provides for across-the-board salary increases of 2.75% in both 2026 and 2027.
A new meeting between the unions and Okypy has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, 2026, to finalise the renewal document and agree on a date for its signing.
