Paphos: 77-year-old seriously injured after crashing into house wall

A 77-year-old man is in serious condition following a crash in Paphos on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 6:30pm when the man was driving along Vasileos Stasioikou Avenue. Under circumstances still being investigated, he lost control of his vehicle, which left the road, struck the wall of a house and came to a stop.

Driver undergoes surgery

The 77-year-old was initially taken by ambulance to Polis Chrysochous Hospital. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was later transferred to Paphos General Hospital, where he underwent surgery.

Doctors treating him have described his condition as serious.

Polis Chrysochous Police Station is continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the Paphos crash.
