Nicosia Municipality extends deadline for 2025 fee payments

The Municipality of Nicosia has announced an extension for the payment of several municipal fees for the year 2025, urging residents and businesses to make use of the new deadline to avoid additional charges.

According to the announcement, the extended deadline now stands at 30 December 2025. After this date, the Municipality will impose the legally required surcharge, in line with existing legislation.

Fees covered by the extension

The extension applies to the following:

  • Refuse collection fee
  • Annual business operating licence
  • Professional / Trade fee

Payment options and locations

The Municipality outlines several available methods for settling the above fees:

1. Online payments

Payments can be made electronically through the Municipality’s official website: www.nicosia.org.cy.

2. Citizen Service Offices

Payments can also be completed in person at the following locations, by card only:

  • Nicosia District: Old Pallouriotissa Market, 7 Agiou Andreou Street
  • Aglantzia District: Former Aglantzia Town Hall, 8 Aikaterinis Kornarou Street
  • Engomi District: 42 Kyriakou Matsi Avenue
  • Agios Dometios District: Former Youth Information Centre, 20 Agiou Georgiou Street

Service hours for all offices: Monday–Friday, 08:00–14:30

3. Central cash office

Payments may also be made at the Municipality’s Central Cash Office at 13 Palaias Ilektrikis Street, 1016, within the walled city of Nicosia.

There, both cash and card are accepted. The Municipality clarifies that cheques and bank transfers are no longer accepted.

Service hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–14:30

Instalment scheme available

The Municipality highlights that residents and businesses may choose to settle their fees through an instalment plan, with a minimum instalment amount of €30.

For further information, citizens are encouraged to visit the Municipality’s website or contact any of the Citizen Service Centres.

The announcement forms part of the Municipality’s ongoing efforts to facilitate timely fee payments and improve service accessibility for the public.
