A Nicosia car fire broke out after a three-vehicle collision near the roundabout outside Nicosia General Hospital, leaving two people injured.
The injured were taken to hospital by ambulance, while firefighters responded to extinguish the blaze. Authorities said no one was endangered by the fire itself.
Fire breaks out after collision
According to Fire Service spokesperson Andreas Kettis, the fire involved two private vehicles following the crash at the roundabout next to Nicosia General Hospital.
Two people were injured in the collision and were transported to hospital by ambulance.
Investigation under way
The Fire Service said no one was placed at risk by the fire that engulfed the two vehicles.
Firefighters remain at the scene tackling the blaze, while the circumstances surrounding the collision are under investigation.
