Mouzourakou: New suspect expected in Panagiotakis case

Date:

Two and a half months into her detention at Korydallos Prison, 24-year-old Irini Mourtzoúkou continues to make headlines in the tragic Amaliada case. While she has already confessed to the murders of four children—including her own infant and her sister—she has denied any involvement in the death of 15‑month‑old Panagiotakis. Her lawyer, Nikos Alexandris, has announced that Mourtzoúkou will soon identify another individual allegedly responsible for that boy’s death. As Alexandris put it, this will not only concern child neglect, but a more serious criminal matter.

Meanwhile, her lawyer confirmed that Mourtzoúkou was involved in minor incidents at Korydallos, though the situation has since stabilised. He also noted that a psychiatric evaluation remains pending and is expected to take place shortly.
