Work to create a new Paediatric Surgery Department at Makarios Hospital has been completed, the State Health Services Organisation (OKYPY) announced.
The organisation said upgrades are also continuing at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Paediatric Accident and Emergency Department, maternity departments, paediatric wards and the Thalassaemia Centre.
Focus on modernising facilities
According to OKYPY, the projects aim to continuously improve hospital infrastructure and patient care conditions.
The upgrades form part of an ongoing modernisation effort, with the works being carried out based on needs arising from the hospital’s daily operation and the provision of care.
OKYPY said the goal is to create an environment that meets the needs of children, mothers and their families, while also improving their day-to-day care experience.
