A 14-year-old boy was arrested in Limassol as part of a police operation targeting youth delinquency and attacks on delivery drivers.
The arrest took place around 10 p.m. on Tuesday during one of several coordinated patrols involving seven police units across the Limassol district. Officers observed two hooded individuals parking an unregistered motorbike by the side of the road. As officers approached, the suspects fled on foot, leaving the vehicle behind.
Subsequent checks revealed the motorcycle had been reported stolen on 10 May 2025.
Shortly after, police spotted two more individuals wearing similar clothing attempting to approach the motorbike. One of them—a 14-year-old—was detained. A hood matching the one worn by the passenger was found in a bag he was carrying.
The boy was taken to a local station, where his parents, a juvenile officer, and a lawyer were called in. He was arrested under a court warrant and remains in custody as investigations continue.
The Agios Ioannis Police Station is handling the case.
