Limassol: Second arrest over attempted property damage

Date:

Police solved a second attempted property destruction in Limassol, following yesterday’s 44-year-old arrest for a similar incident. New case reported midday, December 25, 2025, to Limassol TAE by cafe owner. An unknown person placed items outside the cafe early Christmas morning, retrieved hours later.

Examinations revealed an explosive mechanism and a jerrycan with flammable liquid.

Dual suspects detained

Testimony linked the 44-year-old, already in custody, prompting a new arrest warrant. He faces re-detention for inquiries. Investigation yielded evidence against a 36-year-old, also arrested under a court warrant and held.

Limassol TAE continues probes.
