A 64-year-old man has died, and his wife is in critical condition following a tragedy in Limassol caused by the inhalation of liquefied gas, according to police.
Authorities said the incident occurred on Easter Sunday, prompting an immediate response from police and fire service members who rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency crews found the man dead and his wife unconscious. The woman was transported by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital, where she was intubated and admitted to the intensive care unit in critical condition.
The circumstances surrounding the Limassol gas tragedy remain under investigation.
The case is being investigated by the Episkopi Police Station, which is working to determine the exact conditions that led to the fatal gas inhalation.
