Limassol crash: 17-year-old remains in critical condition

A 17-year-old motorcyclist remains in an extremely critical condition following a serious road collision in Limassol in the early hours of Sunday.

According to Cyprus Police, the teenager underwent emergency surgery and is currently intubated in the Intensive Care Unit at a private hospital.

He sustained severe traumatic brain injuries, a lung contusion, as well as bleeding from the ear and nose, police said.

The collision occurred at around 1:00 a.m. on Spyrou Araouzou Street in Limassol, when the motorcycle ridden by the 17-year-old collided with a car driven by a 37-year-old man, under circumstances that remain under investigation.

The Limassol Traffic Police are continuing inquiries to determine the exact cause of the crash.
