A new round of Lebanon-Israel talks will take place in Rome on 15 and 16 July, Israel’s Ambassador to the United States announced during a meeting at the Council on Foreign Relations think tank in Washington.
According to Italian media reports, the discussions will be held at ambassador level.
Trump to meet Lebanese president
It was also announced that US President Donald Trump is expected to meet Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on 21 July.
The meeting comes as diplomatic efforts continue between Lebanon and Israel amid ongoing regional tensions.
