Four infants infected with measles, who are being treated at the Makarios Children’s Hospital in Nicosia, are out of danger, Director of the hospital’s Pediatric Clinic, Dr. Avraam Elia, told CNA on Thursday.
Asked by CNA about the condition of the four infants with measles, 13, 14, 16 and 17 months-old, who all attend the same kindergarten, Dr. Elia said that they were “out of danger”.
According to Dr. Elia, the condition of a 6-month-old infant with bacterial meningitis who was admitted to the hospital a few days ago is also “stable and out of danger”.
Replying to a question, Dr. Elia said that the best protection was vaccination.
