Fumes force evacuation of Larnaca Tax Department offices

Date:

Strong chemical fumes caused panic this morning at the Tax Department building in Larnaca.

Staff immediately evacuated several offices. Firefighters and an ambulance rushed to the scene.

The Fire Service conducted a thorough search of the building using breathing apparatus.

Initial findings point to cleaning chemicals as the source of the fumes. Police believe it was likely a mixture of cleaning products, though investigations continue to rule out other possibilities.

No injuries have been reported.
