Four-year-old flown to Israel after Paphos pool incident

A four-year-old boy has been airlifted to Israel after he was found unconscious at the bottom of a hotel swimming pool in Paphos on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Cyprus Police, the child was initially transferred to the Emergency Department and then admitted to Makarios Hospital in Nicosia, where he remained intubated in critical condition.

Following medical assessment, authorities arranged for an air ambulance to transfer the child to Israel for specialised treatment on Thursday evening.

The Paphos Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
