Extradition proceedings underway for Germany-bound detainee

Authorities in Cyprus are processing the extradition of a person arrested at Larnaca Airport under a red notice issued by international law enforcement.

In comments to the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), Police Communications Officer Michalis Michail confirmed that the individual was detained following a European arrest warrant. He clarified that procedures are underway for extradition to Germany.

When asked about security measures, Michail stated that heightened precautions continue at critical facilities and other locations, including patrols and static security posts.
