The European Commission is inviting stakeholders to submit their views on the future priorities, directions, and needs for the EU4Health programme. This includes authorities responsible for health at national, regional, or local levels in EU member states.
According to a press release by the Commission, cooperation with organisations representing patients, civil society, healthcare professionals and providers, researchers, the academic community, and businesses is vital for informing the upcoming 2026 annual work programme and for shaping the EU’s strategic direction in public health.
Comments can be submitted until 30 September 2025.
EU4Health is the fourth and largest of the EU’s health programmes. It is considered the EU’s ambitious response to the COVID-19 crisis, aimed at strengthening the resilience of European healthcare systems.
The programme provides funding to national authorities, health organisations, and other entities through grants and public contracts, contributing to a healthier Europe.
The HaDEA (European Health and Digital Executive Agency) manages the vast majority of the total EU4Health budget and has been implementing the programme by managing calls for proposals and tenders from 2021 to 2027.
