Some of the new documents released yesterday, Friday, by the U.S. Department of Justice regarding the Epstein case mention former President Donald Trump and other high-profile figures, including Bill Gates.
The French Press Agency outlines what these documents say about these individuals. None of them are targets of the investigation in this matter.
Donald Trump
The documents released yesterday include an FBI list of allegations of sexual assault linked to Donald Trump, many of which originate from anonymous tips or unverified information.
Some of these claims, obtained through indirect sources, were made via phone calls or electronically to the FBI’s National Threat Management Center.
The document suggests that investigators followed up on some of these leads, while others were deemed to have low credibility.
Donald Trump has long denied any involvement with the sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein.
“Some of the documents contain false and sensational claims about President Trump,” the Department of Justice wrote. “These claims are unfounded and untrue.”
Bill Gates
Among the emails appearing in the newly released documents, Jeffrey Epstein claimed that Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates had extramarital relationships.
Epstein stated that his relationship with Gates would allow him to “help Bill obtain drugs to deal with the consequences of sex with girls from Russia, and to facilitate illicit meetings with married women.”
The Gates Foundation denied these allegations in a statement to the media, calling them “completely baseless and coming from a serial liar.”
Richard Branson
The documents mention Jeffrey Epstein’s friendly association with British billionaire Richard Branson, co-founder of the Virgin Group.
In a September 2013 email to Epstein, Branson wrote: “It was really nice to see you yesterday. The kids on the sailing team haven’t stopped talking about it! If you pass through the area, I’d be happy to see you again—on the condition that you bring your harem!”
A spokesperson for Branson said Friday that all contacts between Richard and Joan Branson (Richard’s late wife) and Epstein occurred “in very few instances, over 12 years ago,” and were limited to group or professional meetings, according to U.S. media reports.
“Richard considers Epstein’s actions abhorrent and supports justice for his many victims,” the spokesperson added.
Elon Musk
Several emails also appear between Epstein and entrepreneur Elon Musk.
In November 2012, Epstein emailed Musk asking, “How many will be on the helicopter to go to the island?”
“Probably just Talula and me. What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?” Musk responded.
Epstein owned three Caribbean islands, one of which was reportedly the location where he sexually assaulted numerous women and underage girls.
Musk responded today on X, acknowledging that some email exchanges with Epstein “could be misinterpreted and used by critics to tarnish his name.”
“That concerns me less than the need to at least pursue those who committed serious crimes with Epstein, particularly regarding the vile exploitation of minors,” he wrote.
Prince Andrew, Duke of York
Former Prince Andrew invited Jeffrey Epstein to Buckingham Palace in September 2010 while Epstein was in London.
An email exchange shows Epstein asked Andrew: “What time do you wish me (…) we will also need (…) a private moment?” Andrew replied: “We can dine at Buckingham Palace and have sufficient privacy.”
The invitation came a month after Epstein allegedly proposed introducing a 26-year-old Russian woman to Andrew, according to the documents.
The former prince said he “would have been happy to meet him,” but there is no evidence that the meeting ultimately took place.
Howard Lutnick
Emails indicate that Epstein and entrepreneur Howard Lutnick, now a Trump Commerce Department official, planned to have lunch at Epstein’s island in December 2012.
“We are coming to you from St. Thomas,” Lutnick’s wife wrote to Epstein’s secretary, asking where to drop anchor.
Steve Tisch
Several emails suggest that Epstein introduced Steve Tisch, producer of Forrest Gump and owner of the NFL’s New York Giants, to multiple women.
In one message, Epstein described a woman as “Russian, rarely tells the truth, but pleasant company.”
