Dubai rabbi murdered: Turkey-UAE cooperation leads to arrests

Date:

The murder of Rabbi Kogan in Dubai has prompted international cooperation between the UAE and Turkey to apprehend the suspects, according to Middle East Eye. Following the attack, the suspects fled to Turkey, where they were located by Turkish authorities. Turkey’s National Intelligence Organisation, in collaboration with the police, arrested them in a taxi and confirmed their identities.

The arrested individuals were promptly extradited to the UAE to face charges related to the murder. Turkey assured that it would not allow criminals to find refuge within its borders. This cooperation was acknowledged and appreciated by the UAE government.

Meanwhile, Israeli authorities initially attributed blame to Turkey but later suggested that the suspects, Uzbek nationals, might have been hired assassins with no clear motive. Relations between Turkey and Israel remain strained due to disagreements over the situation in Gaza and international actions against Israel for alleged war crimes.
