The Department of Road Transport (DRT) has announced dangerous products related to cars, motorcycles and components. The department received notification from the Consumer Protection Service during week 48 of 2025 via the EU Safety Gate rapid alert system for dangerous non-food products.
In its announcement, the DRT (TOM) lists the following dangerous products:

- SR/04142/25 – CITROEN – Spacetourer, Jumpy – Passenger vehicle – 11/07/2022 – 29/01/2024
- SR/04143/25 – Volvo – FHE, FME, FMLE – Truck – 12/09/2022 – 29/08/2025
- SR/04146/25 – Mercedes-Benz – CLA – Passenger vehicle – 16/07/2024 – 22/08/2025
- SR/04150/25 – Morbidelli – T125 e T125X – Motorcycle – Unknown
- SR/04162/25 – Peugeot – Traveller, Expert – Passenger vehicle and goods transport vehicle – 17/05/2022 – 29/01/2024

DRT (TOM) calls on manufacturers, representatives, manufacturer distributors, importers and sellers who may have placed or still place such products on the market of the Republic of Cyprus to inform the department accordingly and “take all necessary measures so that the said products are recalled as provided in the relevant legislation”.
The department also urges consumers who own these specific dangerous products related to cars or motorcycles to contact the manufacturer, representative or manufacturer distributor for instructions.
For components, DRT (TOM) states that “it is advisable to stop using them and return them immediately to the point from which they were obtained (if possible), informing the seller accordingly”.
According to DRT (TOM), if a manufacturer, representative, manufacturer distributor, importer or seller refuses to respond to the above consumer rights, the consumer should submit a written complaint to the Consumer Protection Service via the website www.consumer.gov.cy.
