December rainfall at 67% of average

Overall precipitation levels

December rainfall in Cyprus stands at 67% of the monthly average as of Monday morning, according to Meteorology Department data. The average precipitation in free areas since the start of the month totals 71 millimeters.

Top performing stations

Polis Chrysochous remains the only area exceeding the monthly average, reaching 137% with total rainfall of 137 millimeters. Stavros Psokas follows closely at 97% with 156.4 millimeters, while Gefyri Panagias records 93% at 70 millimeters.

Lowest coverage areas

Saittas shows the lowest coverage at 33% with 45.4 millimeters, followed by Pano Panagia at 45% with 71.9 millimeters. Paphos Airport, Kellaki, and Xylotymbou each register 49%, with 48.2 millimeters, 57 millimeters, and 40.5 millimeters respectively.

Seasonal accumulation

From October 1 to date, average rainfall in free areas reaches 107.1 millimeters, corresponding to 56% of the normal seasonal total.
