Warm and mainly clear conditions continue
Cyprus weather will remain mostly sunny on Thursday as seasonal low pressure continues to affect the region.
According to the Department of Meteorology, temperatures will reach 37°C inland, 28°C on the west coast, around 34°C along the remaining coastal areas and 27°C in the higher mountains.
Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, initially variable and light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, strengthening to up to 5 Beaufort in southeastern areas during the afternoon. The sea will be slight to slightly rough.
Fog possible overnight
Tonight, periods of increased low cloud are expected, with patches of mist or fog likely to form later, mainly in southeastern areas.
Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly and locally variable, remaining light at around 3 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to slightly rough.
Temperatures will fall to around 21°C inland and along the coast, and 17°C in the higher mountains.
Little change through the weekend
Friday, Saturday and Sunday are expected to remain mostly sunny, although temporary afternoon cloud may develop.
There is a slight chance of isolated showers, mainly over mountainous areas.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Sunday and will remain slightly above the seasonal average.
